A number of foreigners were apprehended by the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration, during the ‘Operasi Langis’ conducted at two separate venues in Brunei Muara District.
In an operation carried out at a restaurant in Kampung Delima Satu, Mukim Berakas, yesterday, a foreign man was detained and brought to the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration for further investigation and action. The foreigner was believed to be an employee who ran away from his employer.
Meanwhile, another operation conducted at a flat and rented room in Mukim Kianggeh found 4 foreign nationals including 1 female came under inspection. Preliminary inspection found that a foreign man was believed to carry out work not in accordance with the position allowed and was issued a special pass as well as a summons letter to the original employer. Meanwhile, the foreign woman was detained for failing to show a valid identification document. All of them were brought to the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration for further investigation and action.
