Grace to View ‘Empowering Sustainable Youth Intelligence’ Exhibition

 

In line with the theme and concept of this year’s celebration, an exhibition on the efforts, initiatives and commitments of all ministries, private sectors, non-governmental organizations, NGOs, and individuals in empowering sustainable youth intelligence was held at the lobby of the International Convention Centre, Berakas. The exhibition highlights three aspects of intelligence, namely spiritual, intellectual and emotional that need to be instilled in every youth in a balanced manner so that the youths are more prepared to face increasingly complex challenges. His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri viewed the exhibition.

 

Before viewing the exhibition, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri signed the commemorative parchment.

 

His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri viewed the pencak silat and gulintangan performances by the students of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School and Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College.

 

His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri then viewed the exhibition presented by several ministries and government departments, educational institutions, NGOs and individuals. Also in attendance were His Majesty’s sons, brothers, daughter and sisters. The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah exhibition displayed support and encouragement in developing youth. The exhibition was divided into 4 galleries. The ‘Youth Policy Secretariat’ gallery highlighted the National Youth Policy Goals in creating Excellent Brunei Youth.

 

The emotional intelligence gallery showcased efforts towards helping and addressing the problem of emotional disorders among youths.

 

The Yayasan Islamic Calligraphy and Art Studies Centre is one of the Yayasan’s initiatives to highlight youths who are interested in the field of Islamic arts and calligraphy.

 

The Hologram Gallery highlighted the excellence of the art of Islamic calligraphy and the excellence of the Holy verses of the Quran.

 

The activities of Dai’e youth, new converts, and mosque youth in glorifying the mosque were featured in the Spiritual Intelligence Gallery.

 

The results and prototypes of the students of Higher Learning Institutions who have won awards in several local and foreign competitions were displayed at the Intellectual Intelligence Gallery.

 

The ‘F1 in Schools’ project created by students of Universiti Teknologi Brunei was among the exhibitions that attracted His Majesty’s attention.

 

The 3 Dimensional Tawaf application was presented by Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University.

 

His Majesty was then given the honour of completing the calligraphy work of Awang Hamdy bin Emran, Assistant Officer of Yayasan Islamic Calligraphy and Art Studies Centre in the form of a work on canvas with Tsuluts writing.

 

The ceremony, is hoped to inspire and stimulate the participants in performing their respective roles towards the development, progress and prosperity of religion, race and country.
