His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah. His Majesty made the titah at the Get-together Ceremony with citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam in Malaysia yesterday afternoon.

His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam attended the ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Upon arrival at the Grand Ballroom 3, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were greeted by His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Awang Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Awang Mohd Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia and wife; and Dayang Nurhudiya Fakhriah binti Haji Damit, the President of Brunei Student Council Malaysia (BSCM).

Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were His Majesty’s son, daughters and sister, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah; and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Subsequently, His Majesty then signed a commemorative parchment before proceeding for a group photograph. The ceremony began with the Brunei Darussalam’s National Anthem by the Bruneians Students from Asia Pacific University & International Medical University, Selangor. This was then followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Awang Afiq Haririe bin Haji Daud and the translation was read by Awang Muhammad Waqiuddin Fakhri bin Haji Damit, Bruneian students from the Darul Quran. To seek blessing for the ceremony, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr.) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

The ceremony continued with a welcoming address by Dayang Nurhudiya Fakhriah binti Haji Damit, President of the Brunei Student Council Malaysia on behalf of the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who attended the ceremony. Amongst the highlights of her welcoming address, Dayang Nurhudiya Fakhriah, delivered a pledge of unwavering loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in his titah. At the ceremony, His Majesty and Her Majesty also received pasambah from the students presented by the Brunei Student Council Malaysia, BSCM.

His Majesty and Her Majesty as well as members of the Royal Family then proceeded to mingle with approximately 800 citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who are currently in Malaysia comprising of students, government officials who are on duty and attending courses as well as those on vacation with their families.
