Policewomen have achieved amazing progress, development and challenges throughout the 42 years of its establishment. Together with male police personnel, the involvement of policewomen in policing duties continues to develop progressively in line with the country’s aspirations.

Women police personnel have also played a vital role in practicing the community policy in the country especially in enhancing the level of society awareness on current issues and today’s criminal activities. As a way of showing a sincere and invaluable appreciation, Women Police Officers and Personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force, yesterday held a Get-Together and High-Tea Reception with Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Ambassador-At-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade who is also the Commandant of the Women Police, Royal Brunei Police Force.

Upon arrival at the Officer’s Mess Banquet Hall, Police Headquarters in Gadong, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna was greeted by the Senior Police Superintendent, Dayang Masni binti Haji Jamil, as the Chairperson of the function as well as members of the organising committee.

Shortly after arrival, Her Royal Highness signed a parchment. At the Banquet Hall, Her Royal Highness cut a cake. Since holding the position of Commandant of Women Police in 1975, Her Royal Highness has become the inspiration to the Women Police Force to be more progressive as career women and making a practise of a healthy competitive spirit as well as high professionalism. The involvement of women in the Royal Brunei Police Force has shown that women are also capable of being catalyst of national security and sovereignty.
