Folklore Writing Workshop

The Third Folklore Writing Workshop organised by the Language and Literature Bureau in conjunction with Language Month 2021 aimed to produce the next generation that are capable of folklore writing.  The 5-day workshop provided exposure to participants on methods to obtain folklore materials and story writing.

 

Participants were introduced to various folklores that can be adapted into docu-drama TV scripts. The workshop facilitator explained that folklore is not merely an old legend. Folklore is something that is ‘alive’ and based on the time period or current medium or based on the advanced technology mechanism.

 

40 participants consist of government officers and staff as well as private individuals are participating in the workshop that will end this Saturday.
