The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence also explained on the efforts made to fill job vacancies through Appointment of Reserve Candidate Method and Talent Pool Initiative. The issue was raised by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Salleh Bostaman bin Haji Zainal Abidin.
The Minister clarified that the Appointment of the Reserve Candidate method means the vacancy filled by the said candidate is not advertised. Throughout 2022, 167 vacancies were filled by Reserve Candidates. The planned Talent Pool Initiative is advertising identified Division 4 and Division 5 posts as clusters to expedite filling vacancies in the said divisions.
