The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute is opening the enrolment of new students for the 'Aliyah Qiraat Highest Diploma Programme for the 2023 to 2026 session.
It is open to all Muslim Citizens and Permanent Residents of Brunei Darussalam. Applicants must obtain a Credit for the Malay language subject in the Brunei General Certificate of Education Examination at the Cambridge Ordinary Level, G.C.E 'O'Level; Obtain at least 4 Jayyid or Good in the Brunei Religious Education Certificate Examination, SPUB including Jayyid in two core subjects namely Al-Quran and Arabic or Jayyid in two compulsory subjects namely Tafsir/ Hadith/ Fiqh/ Tawhid/ Tarikh and its equivalent.
OR at least 4 Credits in the Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E 'O' Level or International General Certificate of Secondary Education, IGCSE Level or equivalent including C 6 Credit in Arabic subject. Memorisation of at least 10 Juzu' of Al-Quran is an advantage, pass the admission interview for Diploma 'Aliyah AND possess a Health Declaration from a certified Government Health Centre. For non-resident applicants, whose mother or father is currently working in Government Departments or Government Linked Companies in Brunei Darussalam, who are qualified and interested to enrol in the programme, they can write a special application letter to the Chairman of the Institute's Board through the Institute's principal.
Forms can be obtained at the institute's office during office hours, or downloaded from the Ministry of Religious Affairs website, www.kheu.gov.bn. The deadline is on Wednesday, 22 February at 4 in the afternoon.
