The attitude and discretion of a Monarch is a history, both for Brunei and the Monarch himself. It is not wrong, if we characterise it as the history to the world that in this vast world, there was a king, as head of state and government who ruled a small country prudently and pioneered the use of the Divine Vaccine to fight against COVID-19. The matter was stated by the State Mufti at the Launching of a Book titled ‘The King of Brunei Pioneer the use of Divine Vaccine’ yesterday morning.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned also explained the meaning of Divine Vaccine which is the reading of Zikir, doa or supplication, Al-Quran and giving alms as a special shield used by the Monarch and People of Brunei Darussalam which has been proven successful in seeking blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala in the fight against COVID-19 aside from abiding by the international protocols.
The book published by the State Mufti Department, Prime Minister’s Office and written by the State Mufti contains several excerpts of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s titah pertaining to the Divine Vaccine as well as the special sermon of ‘Idil fitri 1442 Hijrah/ 2021, in both Malay and English Languages.
