Brunei Darussalam is a sovereign and independent Muslim country, with the Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB concept. The MIB concept has raised, strengthened and glorified Islam in the highest position as the core and policy of the country and race’s sovereignty. The concept has been assimilated in the country’s administration, management, laws and development as well as in education and also in the daily lives of the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam. Through the concept, the nation’s development and progress is always on the right platform as the concept is always upholding Islamic principles and values that protect the religion, lives, assets, blessings, mind and heritage which is Makasad Syariah based on Al-Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wassalam. The matter was among the contents stressed upon in yesterday’s Friday Sermon entitled, Malay Islamic Monarchy: the Heart and Soul of Brunei.
The imam or prayer leader said as the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam, it is the responsibility of all to know, understand, assimilate and practice the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept in our daily life as the concept is not only seen from the exterior appearance but also more importantly is that the Malay Islamic Monarchy values are absorbed into the earth and soul, behaviour, thinking and self-esteem of the country’s people. Malay Islamic Monarchy is the Bruneian mould or way of life. Do not let the concept vanish or made to disappear by any outside influences, ideologies, understandings or elements. The congregants were also reminded that to further strengthen Islamic eminence in the country, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam desires for the country to become a nation that is always decorated by zikir which is always remembering and prioritising Allah SWT, always reciting and practicing the teachings of Allah SWT in every aspect of life. The peace and prosperity of the people and country will be more effective when they live in a country that is always reciting the zikir and remembering Allah SWT.
