To maximise tourism opportunities, Royal Brunei Airlines, RB is stimulating tourism in Brunei and the neighbouring state of Sarawak, with the new connectivity to Sarawak's capital city, Kuching by celebrating the Kuching Flight. It is carried out in collaboration with the Sarawak Tourism Board. Speaking at the launch of RB's flight to Kuching, 28th December night, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime's Minister Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy said that the latest development is an economic catalyst for trade and tourism, and is part of RB's transformation revolution in efforts to further increase its roles in promoting the country as a connectivity hub, parallel to Brunei Darussalam's Vision to present itself as Tourism Destination of Choices.
Present were Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Sarawak's Minister for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports, Puan Sharzede Datuk Salleh Askor, Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak tourism Board and Captain Saiful Bahrin bin Awang Bahar, Acting Chief Executive Officer of RB.
