The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand and delegation are in the country for a 3-day working visit until this Wednesday. Yesterday, His Excellency Doctor Wiwat Salyakamthorn and delegation visited several Agricultural Development Areas, KKP in the Brunei Muara District.

The purpose of the working visit is to take a closer look at the country's agricultural activities, apart from sharing knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to paddy planting, acid sulphate soil management as well as irrigation. The visit involved several KKP including the Wasan Paddy Field, Limau Manis, Batang Perhantian and Batong. The working visit that began since yesterday is under the invitation of the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam through the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.

In the afternoon, His Excellency and delegation continued the working visit to the Tunas Harapan Agricultural Farm in KKP Sibongkok, and the Imang Damm which is the source of irrigation for some agricultural fields in the Brunei Muara District.
