Collaborations in the field of defence between Brunei Darussalam and Australia is further strengthened today with the 'OBOE Endeavour' Award Ceremony to 6 officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF who obtained excellent results in the Command and Staff Course. The Award, an Academic Excellence Program from the Government of Australia is held for the first time for RBAF officers. According to the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces at the Award Presentation yesterday morning, it is a significant achievement in the close relations between two countries. Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud said that the award recognises the hard work and dedication of students who have joined the Command and Staff Course or CSC.

The award was presented by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan and Ms. Leah Motrram, Acting High Commissioner of Australia to the country. The program among other things aimed to provide understanding to the RBAF officers on Australia, the Australian Armed Forces and share the importance of regional safety while strengthening personnel relations. The officers will also join several visits, education and cultural activities as well as meetings with the Australian Heads of Defence in preparation for upcoming discussions and dialogues in Australia.
