Higher Education institutions need to rethink on how to prepare their learners for the new careers that are being ushered in by new technologies. The Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education said that as the country approaches the 4th industrial revolution, the job sector will change, and so must universities. Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad stated the matter in his speech during the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD Career Fair 2018 yesterday morning.

The UBD Career Fair sees the participation of 40 exhibitors, offering an expected 200 employment opportunities for part time and full time apprenticeship or internship. The fair also offers walk-in interviews for students and graduates. Also present was Datin Doctor Dayang Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina Binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, Vice Chancellor of UBD. The Career Fair is open to the public until this Saturday, from 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon, with a break for Friday prayers 19th October from 12 noon until 2 in the afternoon.
