The Brunei Darussalam National Road Safety Council this afternoon held a mass sunat hajat prayer and reading of the Ratib Al-Attas at the Surau of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. It is to seek protection from accidents and unwanted incidences. The function is also one of the Council's continuous efforts to seek blessings for any endeavour and planning towards enhancing road safety for the safety and well-being of all.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister of Communications as Chairman of the National Road Safety Council. The function began with the mass Sunat Hajat prayer led by Awang Haji Rashid bin Haji Mohammad Saad, a teacher at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz al-Quran Institute. The function continued with the mass Fardu Asar prayer and reading of Ratib Al-Attas led by Awang Mohammad Fikri bin Haji Sarbini, a teacher at the Institute. Also present was Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications as the Second Deputy Chairman of the National Road Safety Council.
