Creativity and innovation of arts or artefacts such as Arts and Design, multimedia and broadcasting can contribute to the development of Brunei Darussalam's socio-economy. Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy Bin Ahmad, Member of the Legislative Council stated the matter at the opening of the 4th Vibe Identity Arts and Design Exhibition. The exhibition is organised by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the International Graduate Studies College, IGSC yesterday morning.

Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy in his speech said the program provides knowledge and skills acquired from programs in areas of creative industries such as design, handicraft, publishing, advertising, architecture and performing arts which are contributors to socio-economic growth. Through these programs, the government does not need to create jobs in order to employ the graduates once they complete their studies. They can become self-employed or set up a company and employ others thus promoting the development of small and medium enterprises. More than 30 students are showcasing their artworks as a way to improve the quality of their works, creativity and capability for innovation. The exhibition is open to the public until this Sunday.
