It has become the norm for Muslims in the country to carry out Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremonies in the months of Rejab, Sya'aban and Ramadan as a way to reap a multitude of blessings. This was among the matters touched upon in a tazkirah or short religious talk during the Halaqah Zikir ceremony for government and private sector staff in the Tutong District yesterday morning.

Present was Awang Haji Adnan bin Haji Adam, Acting Tutong District Officer. The talk titled "Benefits of Tahlil and Doa Arwah", was delivered by Awang Haji Mohammad Aidil Sufian bin Haji Mohd Yassin, Tutong District's Assistant Mosque Affairs Officer. The talk also touched on how functions held to remember the deceased should not be seen as obligatory to serve dishes, which can sometimes end up burdening oneself and lead to wastage. The Halaqah Zikir ceremony was conducted by the Tutong District Mosque Affairs Office with the cooperation of the Kampung Tanjung Maya Mosque Takmir Committee members.
