Brunei FA Cup

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman, watched the Brunei FA Cup 2022 between DPMM FC and Seri Wira FC, 13th August night.

Also present were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's brother and daughter, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah.

DPMM FC dominated 10-NIL lead in the first half, before completing the 18-NIL victory in the second half.

Express E-Hits Award

The second Express E-Hits Award held on 13th August night, acts as a platform to support the country's creative industry and as an encouragement for local composers, lyricist and singers to continue to work and produce quality songs. The award organised by Radio Television Brunei, RTB took place at the Jerudong Park Ampitheatre.

Present was Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The song 'Luka' by the DE THREE VO, composed and lyrics by Rapul Rezal won the award. Also present was Awang Cheong Chee Keong, Acting Director of RTB.

Domestic and Imported Cat Competition

In conjunction with the Royal Birthday Celebration, the Belait District WI Association organised the Domestic and Imported Cat competition.

29 cats from various species took part in competition. Several cat breed categories were competed including Mixed, Siamese, Persians and Domestic. It was held at Kampung Pandan Community Hall in Kuala Belait.

Assistance Presentation

The Islamic Da'wah Centre through the New Converts Development Section with the cooperation of the Da'wah Unit, Tutong District held the Assistance Presentation Ceremony in the form of electric generator engine to two new converts in Kampung Kuala Ungar, Jalan Benutan 13th August late afternoon.

The assistance was handed over by Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of Islamic Da'wah Centre to Awang Muhammad Sahlan bin Abdul Latif @ Sahlan anak Nyarang and Awang Haji Mohd Zariman bin Abdullah Tong @ Sumpil anak Tong. The contribution is hoped to facilitate them to live their daily lives more comfortably.

Comic Writing and Drawing Workshop 2022

25 comics by individuals and 14 comics by group were created by participants of Comic Writing and Drawing Workshop 2022. The workshop is one of the activities to enliven the Language Month 2022.

In attendance was Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau. The workshop is hoped to assist the participants to continue producing creative works and elevate local comics to a higher level in addition to being able to produce more creative comic writers and artists.

Gala Night and Appreciation Ceremony

To celebrate the smooth running of the Special Performance during the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents in Tutong District in conjunction with His Majesty's 76th Birthday Celebration, a Gala Night and Appreciation Ceremony was held on 13th August night. The event was organised by the Co-Chairmen of Special Performance Executive Administrative Committee of Tutong District at Civic Centre Complex in Tutong District.

Awang Muhammad Amir bin Haji Umarali, the Co-Chairmen of the event in his speech expressed appreciation for the efforts and support of all parties in making the special performance a success. The appreciation certificates were presented by Awang Ajmin bin Haji Meludin, Acting Tutong District Officer as Chairman of the Administrative Committee of Tutong District.

Bukit Sawat Carnival

The villagers' economy, including those in rural areas, can be improved with the presence of attractive sales stalls. The Kampung Bukit Sawat Mukim and Village Consultative Councils and the Belait District Office held the Bukit Sawat Carnival 2022.

The carnival was officiated by Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The event in conjunction with the Royal Birthday Celebration acts as a platform for young generation and youths to gain experience in event management. Visitors also enjoyed a number of activities held at Kampung Sungai Mau, Labi. Also present was Awang Mohd Yassin bin Ahmed, Acting Belait District Officer.

‘Lepak Batu Satu Volume 1’

The 'Lepak Batu Satu Volume Satu' held on 13th August night, gathered over 30 local entrepreneurs. The event organised by HU Advertising in collaboration with Aliq-pom-bunai, and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports took place at Sports Centre, Laksamana College of Business.

In attendance was Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Youth at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The event aimed to gather young entrepreneurs and to give them entrepreneurial exposure in the public. It was a follow-up from the 'Sahur Sengkarai' and 'Lepak Lumut' that has received an encouraging response from the public.

Azan Competition Nationwide

Awang Mohammad Ayob bin Ali emerged champion of the Azan Competition for the future generation and Merbut nationwide. The competition in conjunction with His Majesty's 76th birthday celebration was organised by the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque takmir committee in Kampung Serusop yesterday morning.

Prizes were presented by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Second place went to Awang Abdul Qawiyyel Azeez bin Haji Abdul Rajid and Awang Muhammad Hakim bin Muhd Amin at the third place.

1 Billion Steps Together

21 million steps recorded in the One Billion Steps Together with hashtag BN-on-the-move Campaign launched yesterday morning. Organised by the Ministry of Health and EVYD Technology, the activity took place at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. Also present were several cabinet ministers. Over one thousand individuals joined the event that began and ended at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien. The One Billion Steps Together is challenge activity to achieve 1 billion steps together in a month.

The atmosphere were further enlivened with exhibition booths from Health Institution and Telecommunication Companies. During the 3 months campaign, participants of the One Billion Steps Together Hashtag BN on the move can see their updated movements through the BruHealth app. Active participants and those who have invited other friends through the app will be selected as winners to be announced in the near future.
