The 19th Cultural Journey Programme aimed to empower and elevate art and culture within the officers and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Organised by the Culture and Arts Division, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the programme was part of the initiative to raise the public’s awareness, understanding and internalisation on the importance of history and cultural heritage.
Various activities were lined up for the programme, focusing on perpetuating the country’s language, culture and heritage. Among those present were Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Sports at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Acting Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
A demonstration on how to fold Sinjang and Dastar, traditional dance as well as music were highlighted by the Culture and Arts Division. Meanwhile, the Museums Department held the traditional game activity, whereas the Language and Literature Bureau also organised a number of activities such as exhibition, book sales and interactive quizzes.
