Technical training and capacity building are needed to achieve the objectives of establishing the ASEAN Medical Device Committee, AMDC. This includes the adoption of uniform technical documents by each ASEAN country. Organised by the Ministry of Health, the 12th AMDC meeting is held at a hotel in the capital.
The AMDC, established in 2014, plays a role to monitor the implementation of the ASEAN Medical Device Directive, AMDD in each ASEAN country and to support the aspiration of the ASEAN Economic Community, AEC. The meeting, held until this Wednesday is attended by representatives of the ASEAN Medical Device Regulatory Authorities.
