Turkiye-Brunei Archery Ceremony Promotes Cultural Exchange

Manggis: The Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye and the Ar-Rafi Archery Sports Academy Centre, PASMA, hosted a friendly mini archery competition at the embassy in Manggis on the afternoon of September 10th. The event, named ‘Legacy of Sultans: Turkiye-Brunei Annual Archery Ceremony,’ was graced by the presence of Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was designed to promote archery and delve into its rich history. Organizers PASMA, the Yunus Emre Institute in Brunei Darussalam, and the Embassy have been actively involved in fostering cultural ties through regular archery workshops, cultural exhibitions, and youth training programs. These initiatives are supported by Memorandums of Understanding with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Education.
