25 active cases were recorded in the National Framework on Child Protection, NFCP since its launch in December 2020. NFCP is a national guide aimed to further develop the existing child protection ecosystem from 2020 to 2024. Yesterday afternoon, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Department of Community Development, JAPEM held a Launching Ceremony of the Register of Children and Youth in Need of Protection, RCYPNP. The event took place at Jerudong Sports Complex.
The launch was officiated by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Earlier, Hajah Nor Ashikin Binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community and Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in a speech said that the RCYPNP, is one of main cores of the NFCP monitoring mechanism, that refers to the need for a centralised databank to aid the government in the formulation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, programmes and projects in the area of child protection more efficiently.
