BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - The Nurul Islam Association, in collaboration with the Mualaf Development Division (Muallaf Empowerment) of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, organized a Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony on the evening of February 24th. Held at the Islamic Da'wah Centre in Brunei Muara District, this religious event was part of the observances for Nisfu Sya'ban. Pengiran Haji Jufri bin Pengiran Haji Hidop, a Religious Development Officer at the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs, was present during the ceremony, which featured the completion of the Quran by members of the Nurul Islam Association and a tazkirah (sermon) on the "Benefits of Sya'ban and Preparation for the Upcoming Ramadan."
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony aimed to spiritually prepare the community for the month of Ramadan, highlighting the importance of Sya'ban, a month revered in Islam for its spiritual significance and as a precursor to Ramadan. The event reflects the community's commitment to religious observance and the fostering of spiritual growth.
