The important efforts carried out by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam, MPABD and its counterparts to ratify several key international maritime conventions were emphasised during the engagement session with stakeholders. The session was held at a hotel in the capital.
The international convention included discussions on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation. There was also a presentation which among others underscored the importance of adhering to the international maritime conventions, especially in ensuring safe and fair practices across the entire international maritime sector.
