Launching of Sensory Classroom at Dato Marsal Primary School
Bandar seri begawan: In efforts to enhance inclusive learning environments for children with autism in the country, the newly upgraded sensory classroom at Dato Marsal Primary School was launched on the morning of 10th September. The initiative is part of a community outreach effort led by the 36th Cohort of the Executive Development Program for Middle Management Officers.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the launch was officiated by Doctor Dayang Hajah Mustazah binti Awang Maidin, Acting Director of Special Education at the Ministry of Education. The classroom aims to create calm spaces while promoting public awareness on autism and sensory needs. More than 250 sensory items were distributed to 4 primary schools for the benefit of students with special education needs.
