Korban or the Rites of Sacrifice is one of the practices that is highly commendable by Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam. As Korban holds many wisdom and benefits, Muslims should take heed Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam's encouragement towards his companions in performing the deed. In this regard, the Mosque Affairs Department through the Imarah Division and the Brunei Muara Mosque Affairs Office with the cooperation of the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir Committee held the Islamic Slaughtering Workshop. A certificate presentation ceremony for the workshop was held at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, yesterday morning.
Certificates were presented to 95 participants by Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs.
Earlier, participants were briefed on slaughtering animals according to Islam and its practical. The workshop aimed to provide the public the opportunity to increase their knowledge on Korban.
