Delving into new theories and techniques in the field of translation, further improving work quality and produce translators of high calibre are among the objectives of General Translation Intensive Course. Organised in conjunction with Language Month 2023 by the Language and Literature Bureau, DBP through the Language Construction and Development Division, the course began on 19th August morning, and will run until 31st August at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.
Present was Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, Acting Director of the Language and Literature Bureau. 20 participants are taking part in the course, comprising officers and staff from the Translation Unit, Language and Literature Bureau and invited government departments. 7 facilitators and officers from the Malaysian Institute of Translation and Books are presenting the course in theory and practical.
