PARAÑAQUE CITY - Duty Free Philippines (DFP) has launched a new initiative offering a 5-percent discount exclusively for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and balikbayans at its Fiestamall location.
According to Philippine News Agency, starting April 2, these valued customers can avail of the discount by presenting a Balikbayan Plus Card and a valid passport at the Customer Registration Counter.
The discount program is designed to show appreciation for the OFWs and balikbayans, acknowledging their significant contributions to the country. To obtain a Balikbayan Plus Card, eligible individuals need to present their passports, facilitating their access to the discounted rates.
Beyond the immediate savings at DFP, the Balikbayan Plus Card holders are entitled to additional benefits and exclusive offers, including special rates and privileges at partnered merchants such as Kingsford Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, and Isecure Networks and Business Solution Inc. Angala emphasized that the initiative aims to enrich the OFWs' and balikbayans' retail experience, offering them more value and recognition through these tailored discounts and privileges.
The program aligns with Duty Free Philippines Corporation's broader mission as an entity under the Department of Tourism, contributing its earnings to bolster national tourism endeavors. This discount offering underscores DFP's commitment to enhancing the welcome experience for the nation's returning heroes and valued visitors.
