The Ministry of Health has received a COVID-19 Genome Sequencing Machine along with other essential equipment and materials donated by IDG Capital. The handover of the donation was held at the Clinical Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory for Infectious Diseases, Department of Laboratory Services in Kg. Bukit Bendira, Tutong. The contribution aims to support the efforts of Brunei Darusssalam in tackling COVID-19.

 

The donation was handed over by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The contribution from the senior partners of IDG is made possible through its close partnership with MGI Technology Company Limited with assistance from the Royal Brunei Airlines. The equipment, which will start operating soon, is located at the Clinical Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory for Infectious Diseases, Department of Laboratory Services in Kampung Bukit Bendira, Tutong.
