Ministry of Defence Organizes ‘Sentuhan Kasih Ramadhan’ Event for 180 Orphans

Gadong: The Ministry of Defence held the ‘Sentuhan Kasih Ramadhan’ event for 180 orphans from the ministry’s community on 22nd March 2025. At the event, the orphans received donations from the proceeds of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Welfare Fund, RBAF Wives Welfare Body (BAKTI), RBAF personnel, and Suraus. The event took place simultaneously across three districts, with the main gathering at a hotel in Gadong for recipients from Brunei Muara District and Temburong District.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the donations for Brunei Muara District were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri AWANG HAJI Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, who serves as the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence.

In the Tutong District, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF, was on hand to present the donations. Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the donations were handed over by Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.
