Post: Dagupan City Launches 13th Justice Zone in the Philippines

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines - The inauguration of the country's 13th Justice Zone in Dagupan City marks a significant step toward improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Philippine justice system. This initiative, launched under the guidance of Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, aims to enhance justice delivery in the region through collaborative efforts.

According to Philippines News Agency, the establishment of Justice Zones facilitates real-time coordination among key justice sector institutions, including the Supreme Court, the police, the Department of Justice, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government. This integrated approach is designed to expedite the administration of justice, particularly in areas where delays are prevalent.

Chief Justice Gesmundo highlighted the importance of cooperation and unity among the participating institutions, expressing optimism that this collaborative effort would restore public trust in the Philippine justice system. The Justice Zone in Dagupan City is the sixth to be established during Gesmundo's term, reflecting the judiciary's commitment to nationwide judicial reform.

Justice Undersecretary Raul Vasquez echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the potential for the Justice Zone initiative to bring about substantial change and improvements in the rule of law and justice administration across the country. The establishment of these zones since the first in Quezon City in 2014 represents a proactive approach to addressing systemic challenges and ensuring fairness and equity in legal processes.
