Philippine Airlines Announces Cancellation of Select Dipolog Flights for Runway Maintenance

MANILA — Philippine Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, has released an advisory announcing the cancellation of several flights to and from Dipolog in November, citing the need for runway repairs at the airport as the reason for the disruption.

According to Philippines News Agency, flights from Manila to Dipolog and vice versa on November 15, 22, 26, and 29 will not operate. During these dates, the Dipolog airport will still accommodate partial operations for turboprop aircraft. Additionally, beginning November 9, the schedules for other Dipolog flights within the month will undergo adjustments. The new times for flights PR 2557 from Manila to Dipolog will be 02:30 p.m. to 04:30 p.m., and for flights PR 2558 from Dipolog to Manila, the schedule will be 05:15 p.m. to 07:15 p.m.

This follows a similar move by low-cost airline Cebu Pacific, which had previously made adjustments and cancellations to its Dipolog flights connecting Manila and Cebu from July to October due to the same runway maintenance activities.

Passengers affected by these changes are likely to be offered options for rebooking or refunds, as is customary in such situations, although specific details of these policies were not included in the information provided.
