Brunei Netball League 2021

Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah competed in the Brunei Netball League 2021. Organised by the Brunei Netball Association, BNA, the tournament featured 6 teams and the match took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

 

Her Royal Highness leads the Falcons in the netball league. In the match, the Falcons beat Hydra 50-27.

 

In other matches, Hokage Warriors won 50-35 over Roses, while Thundernets beat Stingers 42-39.

BDGA Golf Tournament

The Brunei Darussalam Golf Association, BDGA organised the BDGA Championship Golf Tournament. The 3-day championship which will run until Sunday was held at the Royal Brunei Golf and Country Club, RBGCC in Jerudong.

 

Among those who participated was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Engineer Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Minister of Development. The proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the ‘Palestinian Humanitarian Funds’. The prize presentation will be held on Sunday.

Brunei Super League: DPMM Fc 16-1 Bakes Fc

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman last night watched the Brunei Super League 2021 match between Brunei DPMM FC and BaKes FC. The match took place the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium. Also present were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s brother, son and daughter, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen; Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Muntaqim; and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah.

 

In the match, DPMM FC won by defeating BaKes FC 16-1. In the first half, DPMM FC scored 9 goals each through Charlie Clough; Andrei Varankou; Nurikhwan Othman and Azwan Ali Rahman.

 

Continuing the second half, DPMM FC managed to add 7 more goals through Razimie Ramli; Charlie Clough; Hakeme Said and Azwan Ali Rahman, while BaKes netted its sole goal in the 56th minute through Abd Rahim Abdullah. DPMM FC’s next match is against Rimba Star FC on the 4th of July at the same venue at 8 in the evening.

Under 15 Football Match

​The DPMM FC Football Fanfare 2021 was highlighted with the under 15 football matches. Among the participated teams were Warriors; DPMM FC ‘A’; DPMM FC ‘B’;  IKLSMB5 FC; Jerudong International School; Dash Football Academy; Bang Dalam FC; Striking Stars; and Wijaya FC. Among those who joined the match was His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s son, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim who joined the Warriors Football team. Yesterday afternoon’s match saw DPMM FC ‘A’ team advanced to the final and faced DPMM FC ‘B’.

 

Warriors team participated by Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim lost to Bang Dalam by 2-NIL.

 

In a match against Jerudong International School, Warriors was tied in a one-all draw.

 

In another match against, DPMM FC ‘B’, both teams ended the game in a goalless draw.

 

Warriors team also lost to IKLSMB5 FC.

 

In the final match, DPMM FC ‘A’ which was participated by His Majesty’s grandson, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Haseeb lost to DPMM FC ‘B’ by 3-1.

 

Also present was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

DPMM FC Football Fanfare 2021

​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday afternoon presented prizes to winners of the under-15 tournament during the DPMM FC Football Fanfare 2021. 9 teams participated in the tournament held at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium.

 

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince as the Chairman of DPMM FC, firstly presented the top scorer prize to Safwan Zawawi from DPMM FC ‘A’ football team who scored 5 goals.

 

Meanwhile, Awangku Mohammad Syafiq Hilmi bin Pengiran Mohammad Shahrom, also from DPMM FC ‘A’, won the Best Player prize.

 

His Royal Highness then presented the prizes to the third-placed team, Jerudong International School and the runner-up team, DPMM FC ‘B’.

 

The champion was DPMM FC ‘A’ football team which was participated by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s grandson, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Haseeb bin Pengiran Maharaja Setia Liala Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim.

 

Prior to departure, His Royal Highness mingled with DPMM FC players for 2021 season who are taking part in Brunei Super League. 15 teams are taking part in Brunei Super League 2021 held, started yesterday, 20th June.

Impressive Scotland frustrate England in Wembley draw

The first meeting between the men’s teams in a major tournament since Euro 96 was played out in a typically raucous atmosphere despite only 22,500 fans in attendance – and both sides had big opportunities to win.

Most of the honours must go to Scotland, however, who bounced back from their opening defeat by the Czech Republic at Hampden Park with real resilience and character to fully deserve this important point.

Cosmopolitan College Of Commerce and Technology Convocation Ceremony

In line with the National Youth Policy in ensuring that the youths will achieve a meaningful employment, the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce has been and continue to play its major role as the economy and community transformation catalyst, that capable of producing youth who add value to the needs of the industry and more importantly, as the much -needed human capital of the country. The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports said the matter yesterday MORNING at the 14th Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology Convocation Ceremony. The function was held at the Indera Samudera of The Empire Brunei.

 

Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin said that as human beings who always make an impact in various fields, the youths have been and continue to be the source of pride for the community and the country.

 

416 graduates in the field of Creative Media, IT and Commerce received their certificates. As of today, the Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology has more than 3 thousand 400 graduates and 87 percent from the total has obtained jobs.

Brunei Futsal League 2021

The MS ABDB recorded another win over Syahkampong with the result 8-1 in a Group B match that took place at the Bolkiah Garrison Multi-Purpose Hall, yesterday night.

 

In the first half, MS ABDB in black netted 2 goals by Mohd Zairul Hazmin and Awangku Mohd Jumatatul Aleshahrezan. Syahkampong managed to reduce the gap with a goal in the second half through Md Zainul Ariffin but was soon left behind as MS ABDB added 6 more goals to comfortably win the match. The result MS ABDB 8, Syahkampong 1 placed MS ABDB at the top of Group B with 6 points.

Veteran Basketball League 2021

TK Tea House team emerged champion for Veteran Basketball League 2021 after defeating RYS Sendirian Berhad in final match at Batu Besurat in Gadong,

 

TK Tea House team in yellow and black jersey lost in the first quarter to RYS, 21 – 16. In second quarter, TK Tea House added 30 points and 29 points at third quarter and won the match with scored 94 and RYS Sendirian Berhad, 73.

 

Prizes were presented by Goh Kiat Heng, President of the Brunei Basketball Association. Second place was RYS and Concept Computer team came third.
