Post: Caraga Police Enhance Emergency Response Skills through Simulation Exercises

Caraga Region – The Police Regional Office in Caraga Region (PRO-13) conducted a comprehensive simulation exercise to bolster their emergency response capabilities. The exercise, which encompassed various emergency scenarios, took place on Tuesday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Major Jennifer Omiter, the information office chief of PRO-13, detailed the exercise in a phone interview, noting that it included simulations of robbery, bombing, and burning incidents. The robbery scenario occurred in Libjo, Dinagat Islands, involving local police and the 1303rd Mobile Force Company. The burning incident simulation was conducted in Barangay Consuelo, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, by the local police force. Additionally, a bombing incident exercise at Masao Port in Barangay Lumbocan, Butuan City, involved multiple units including the Butuan City Police Office, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit, the Regional Forensic Unit, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine Ports Authority. Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, director of PRO-13, acknowledged the participation of various units, emphasizing that the exercises were crucial for ensuring public safety in the region against criminal and terrorist activities.
