CALABARZON—An individual accused of child rape, previously identified as one of the "Most Wanted Persons" by the Police Regional Office-Calabarzon (PRO4A), was apprehended over the weekend. Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, the acting director of the Laguna Provincial Police Office (LPPO), announced on Monday that the suspect was captured on Sunday in Magdalena town, where he had been in hiding.

According to Philippines News Agency, the arrest was made possible through a warrant and with the assistance of concerned citizens who helped locate the suspect's hiding place. "I thank our countrymen for their help and support to our police force for the successful arrest of people hiding from the law," he stated. The suspect is now detained at the Magdalena Municipal Police Station, with Family Court Branch 6 in Santa Cruz town recommending no bail.
