MALOLOS: Bulacan province is hosting a series of festivals this January, drawing thousands of tourists to the region. Guiguinto town kicked off its 26th Halamanan Festival, celebrating the local community's passion for ornamental plants and flowers.
According to Philippines News Agency, The festival includes a variety of events like the King and Queen of the Halamanan and a Garden Competition. In Malolos City, Mayor Christian D. Natividad announced the weeklong Fiesta Republica, featuring a bridal fair, cultural programs, and the commemoration of the First Republic's 125th anniversary. Eliseo dela Cruz, head of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office, mentioned that this year's theme focuses on the rich cultural heritage of Malolos. Concurrently, Bustos town is celebrating its 14th Minasa Festival alongside its 107th anniversary, showcasing its famous Minasa cookies. Finally, San Ildefonso town is set to celebrate its Bulak Festival, featuring parades, street dances, and sports events, all contributing to the province's vibrant cultural tapestry.
