Two local men were apprehended during an 'Operasi Langkah' patrol conducted by Company C Reserve Police Force, Operations Department, Royal Brunei Police Force at two separate locations at Jalan Tikus, Junjongan Satu Kampung Limau Manis.
During the "Operasi Langkah" patrol, the police was able to foil two attempts to smuggle contraband and found controlled drugs. According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Azhan bin Anuar, Assistant Commanding Officer of Company C Reserve Police Force, 23 year olf Muhammad Khairol Faiz bin Awang Bujang was found to smuggle in 13 cartons of cigarettes. The second suspect, Abdul Hafiz bin Hj Muhamad Irwan aged 30 was arrested after being found in possession of contraband believed to be controlled drugs, syabu or methamphetamine. All the contraband items have been seized and brought to the Limau Manis Police Station and handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department as well as Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation.
