Launching of Al-Qur’an Reading in Conjunction with Royal Birthday

Former students of Jalan Muara Sixth Form Centre from 1975 to 1978, launched the Al-Qur’an reading in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th Birthday celebration. The ceremony took place on 9th July afternoon, at the Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Jalan Bebatik Kilanas.

Held as an expression of love and undivided loyalty towards the Monarch, the ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, former student of the said sixth form centre. This was followed by the reading of Al-Qur’an verses. The annual programme is attended by 60 former students.
