Musabaqah Al-Quran and Its Interpretation

The qualifying round of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran Memorisation and Its Understanding for Category E, took place yesterday afternoon at the MABIMS Centre for Al-Quran Studies and Dissemination, Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Bandar Seri Begawan.

21 participants competed in memorising 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran; from Juzuk 1 to 30 along with the understanding of surah Al-Mujadilah, surah Al-Hashr, surah Al-Mumtahanah, surah As-Saff, surah Al-Munafiqun, surah At-Taghaabun, surah At-Talaq and surah At-Tahrim.

Road Safety Roadshow

With the Slogan, Road Safety Starts with Me, Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad organised a road safety roadshow starting yesterday. It aims to raise awareness on Road Safety, to prevent harm, and save the lives of people.

The roadshow was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Chairman of the National Road Safety Council. Held at Liang Lumut Recreation Club, the roadshow aims to raise Road Safety awareness towards reducing road accidents and fatalities, as well as provide a platform for government agencies and the private sector to share the latest updates, initiatives and policies to all Road Users. Also held were exhibitions, discussions and dialogues from the stakeholders.

‘Doa Kesyukuran’

To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam, AITI, a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held this afternoon.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transportation and Infocommunications. AITI will continue to strive towards achieving the vision of transforming Brunei Darussalam into a Connected Smart Nation through the development of a thriving digital industry, a connected nation and a digitally-enriched society. Also present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister, Department of Energy in the Prime Minister's Office in his capacity as Chairman of AITI.
