NEW YORK, Dec. 09, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Johan Lindeberg, known for his work at Diesel and for founding the brands J.Lindeberg and BLK DNM, is now to be known as JAY3LLE (pronounced jay-elle). With this change, he reclaims his name and the ability to use it in his work.

“It has been complicated to use my personal name in my creative work when my name is on a brand I’m no longer involved with,” says JAY3LLE. “I have found a new freedom in JAY3LLE: a new name and the beginning of a new chapter of my career.”

JAY3LLE will create not only his own direct expression in physical and digital elements, but also through collaborations and as a creative consultant.

“As JAY3LLE, I can express myself in my own work, as well as a creative design studio and a progressive platform, where we can continue to create innovative energy and inspire people,” says JAY3LLE.

ABOUT JAY3LLE

Johan Lindeberg, as he has been known professionally to this point, has a vast background as a visionary brand builder. In the 90s, he led the team that created the iconic Diesel successful living campaign and was also responsible to conceptualize the Diesel lifestyle. He also launched Diesel in the U.S. After the success of Diesel, Lindeberg left the brand and launched his namesake brand J. Lindeberg. The brand was among the first to combine fashion and sports; the combination of skinny tailoring parallelled with a complete paradigm shift in golf fashion. In 2007, Lindeberg walked out of a board meeting and stood up for his creative vision when investors wanted to take the brand in a direction he disagreed with. From there, Lindeberg worked as stylist for Justin Timberlake and supported him in creating the brand William Rast. After that, Lindeberg created the brand BLK DNM which became a successful movement from NYC. He then decided to focus on photography and left the brand to go back as a creative consultant for J. Lindeberg, where he, during 2016-2017, repositioned the brand with new energy after the brand had been going from a progressive positioning to a more conservative brand. In 2019, he drove a repositioning of BLK DNM from Stockholm. Lindeberg has also worked as a consultant for Pernod Ricard to support new creative energy in Martell, Glenlivet and Avion tequila. He has also been Creative Director during the launch of Absolut Elyx.

CNH Industrial presents first electric tractor prototype with autonomous features

 Electric Power Front View

T4 Electric Power Front View

Zero emissions farming solution enhances value and delivers next step in the Company’s innovation plan

London, December 9, 2022

CNH Industrial revealed the New Holland T4 Electric Power – the industry’s first all-electric light utility tractor prototype with autonomous features – at its Tech Day in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

A concentrated effort between our team of experts in the USA (Burr Ridge, Detroit) and Italy (Modena) was able to halve this prototype’s development time thanks to collaboration with our strategic partner Monarch Tractor – an electrified Ag innovator based in California, USA. Our expertise and resources, in conjunction with Monarch’s disruptive technology, made this world-first result possible.

This product milestone is the latest development in our strategic plan for electrification. The prototype presented is branded New Holland Agriculture, while the commercial model will also extend to our Case IH Brand. It follows the launch of the multi award-winning e-Source power pack – an external generator for electric farm implements.

The T4 Electric Power is the ideal solution for lower horsepower operations. It is suited to mixed farm, livestock, municipality, orchard and specialty applications. We know our customers are eager to adopt this type of product, so it makes perfect sense for us to continue our Ag electrification journey with this platform,” explains Marc Kermisch, Chief Digital & Information Officer, CNH Industrial.

The finer details: Power/ Performance / Precision

This First-Generation Battery Electric Light Vehicle belongs to the utility tractor segment. Commercial production is expected to begin at the end of 2023 with a broader product offering to follow.

Power

E-Motor peak: Up to 120hpMax Torque: Up to 440Nm
4-wheel drive: Yes Max Speed: 40 kphZero Emissions: Always

Depending on the mission profile, the tractor’s battery pack delivers up to a full day of operation. It takes just one hour to reach 100% power when using commercially available fast charging systems. The tractor’s electrical outlets support daily farm tasks such as welding and drilling. It doubles as a backup power generator for daily or emergency needs. And it provides energy for electric implements. Traditional mechanical, hydraulic and Power Take Off implements can also be used.

Performance

In testing, the T4 Electric Power showed exceptional performance compared to a conventional diesel tractor. Its superb responsiveness makes it more aggressive, efficient and provides greater traction control. Smoother shuttling and gear shifts make it even more of a pleasure to drive. It also reduces operating costs by up to 90% for our customers, thanks to eliminating diesel fuel costs and associated maintenance fees.

And it’s quiet. Noise is reduced by up to 90% and vibration is also substantially dampened. This respects stringent municipal noise regulations, allows for nighttime operation, and improves livestock wellbeing, especially when working inside covered areas such as barns.

Precision

What makes this tractor a world first are its autonomous features and automated capabilities. Together these technologies provide leading solutions that support operators of all skill levels.

The T4 Electric Power’s roof houses sensors, cameras and control units which enable its advanced autonomous and automated features. Farmers can remotely activate the tractor via a smartphone app. Shadow Follow Me mode lets operators sync machines to work together. A 360-degree perception system detects and avoids obstacles. Telematics and auto guidance keep all functions in check for operators. Fleet Management lets the farm manager assign tasks to each piece of equipment. Implement recognition ensures the tractor seamlessly links up with the required attachment. And offboard digital services let farmers run the tractor from anywhere, at any time, while monitoring its performance and battery level.

CNH Industrial’s global Design Team have styled our alternative power portfolio. The T4 Electric Power on display features the New Holland Clean Blue color – also present on the new T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) launched at Tech Day. Their illuminated leaf emblem and signature taillights mark a clear distinction from the aesthetics of conventional diesel tractors.

The T4 Electric Power joins the New Holland T7 Methane Power LNG and T6 Methane Power tractors for an alternative source portfolio that further demonstrates CNH Industrial’s commitment to sustainably advancing agriculture for the world’s farmers.

CNH Industrial adds new Automation and Autonomy Solutions to Ag Tech portfolio

Raven-Autonomy-Harvest Assist-New Holland Agriculture

Raven-Autonomy-Harvest Assist-New Holland Agriculture

New technology helps farmers reach next level productivity and profitability

London, December 9, 2022

CNH Industrial debuted its latest automation and autonomy solutions at its Tech Day in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. New Driverless Tillage and Driver Assist Harvest solutions from Raven, and Baler Automation from Case IH and New Holland, deliver automation and autonomous equipment enhancements. They all help solve farming’s biggest challenges: to increase productivity and to do more with less resources, more sustainably. These latest technology developments form part of our Ag Tech roadmap.

The agriculture industry is faced with the challenges of time, costs, constrained operational windows, and a dwindling labor force. Autonomy will become an integral part of farmers’ operations everywhere,” said Derek Neilson, President, Agriculture. “We believe that Autonomy and Automation technologies are fundamental to the future of farming. They cover all farmer segments and drive real world benefits.”

Driver Assist Harvest Solution
This new automation technology for the tractor platform leverages our Case IH brand’s harvest technology with Raven Autonomy integration. It provides a coordinated control feature that allows for the Driver Assist Harvest Solution to chart the path and speed of the tractor pulling the grain cart alongside a combine harvester during an ‘unload on the go’ operation.

The Driver Assist Harvest Solutions keeps the tractor perfectly in sync with the combine harvester when unloading grain – giving the combine operator seamless control over the unloading process. This makes the full operation more efficient, with less grain spillage in the process. Our new technology helps remedy the lack of skilled labor by simplifying the task. It also provides a better user experience with less operator fatigue. This solution will be made commercially available for both Case IH and New Holland brands.

Driverless Tillage Solution
The driverless tillage solution features an advanced Perception System and Remote Command & Control experience from Raven Autonomy, which functions with no operator in the cab. The machine can be operated remotely from a mobile tablet device. The operator can plan and execute precise, automated missions with consistent agronomic results monitored from anywhere.

This development combines the Case IH tractor and tillage platform with Raven autonomy to deliver this autonomous tillage solution. The Raven Autonomy technology platform provides a flexible, scalable tech stack to the iron. This solution also leverages existing Case IH tillage automation for ultimate agronomic and machine control of the implement. The result is increased productivity with consistent agronomic performance and richer data insights.

Case IH and New Holland’s significant automation developments are continuing to accelerate with the ongoing integration of Raven.

Baling Automation
Industry-first Baler Automation was also unveiled on New Holland large square balers, featuring new technology that uses a LiDAR sensor to that scan the windrow in front of the tractor for density, volume and direction. The tractor and baler then use this input to automatically control steering, forward speed and baler settings to ensure the baler follows the windrow precisely for accurate crop feeding. The result? Optimized bale shape, increased productivity, operator comfort and reduced fuel consumption. Case IH will also offer the baling automation feature.

Automation and Autonomy technology milestones in the field
We have a proven track record of existing world class technologies on our agriculture equipment. Earlier this year at the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, USA, Case IH and Raven introduced the agriculture industry’s first autonomous spreader, the Case IH Trident™ 5550 applicator with Raven Autonomy™ (Driverless Spreading Solution). Meanwhile both New Holland and Case IH combines offer award-winning, best-in-class combine automation, and both Case IH Patriot and New Holland Guardian sprayers that come equipped with application control automation.

We’re on the road to full autonomy. We focus on delivering an autonomous tech stack that scales across all production cycles for the cash crop segment: crop preparation, planting/seeding, crop care, harvest, hay, and forage. Focusing on automation and autonomy is not taking farmers out of farming it’s making their machines more productive with functional automation,” said Parag Garg, CNH Industrial Chief Digital Product Officer. “Our focus is to make the Precision Technology on our equipment so smart, that the customer can focus on the farm and let CNH Industrial take care of rest.”

At CNH Industrial we are Breaking New Ground to help solve farmers’ real-world problems by unlocking additional value through automated and autonomous solutions.

CNH Industrial debuts world’s first Liquefied Natural Gas tractor prototype

New Holland T7 Methane Power LNG Tractor

New Holland T7 Methane Power LNG Tractor

London, December 9, 2022

CNH Industrial unveiled the next step in alternative power for agriculture at its Tech Day event in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. New Holland Agriculture, one of our global agricultural brands, presented the T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) pre-production prototype tractor.

Another world first for farming
More sustainable, energy independent and productive

New Holland is the alternative fuels leader in agriculture – having developed the first commercialized Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tractor – the T6 Methane Power. The new T7 prototype furthers the Brand’s position, driving greater value for our customers. It more than doubles the autonomy compared to a CNG design. In comparison to the T6 Methane Power CNG, this is a fourfold increase in fuel capacity. It delivers the same power and torque as the equivalent diesel tractor while delivering autonomy without the need for any extra tanks. It’s also quieter – a significant reduction in drive-by noise levels makes it perfect for tasks near livestock or in urban areas.

To spearhead this latest development, CNH Industrial partnered with Bennamann, a UK-based expert whose multi-patented approach converts fugitive methane to clean biofuel – offering an energy independent and sustainable farm system. When the T7 prototype is integrated within this process, an operation’s overall carbon footprint can be ‘better than zero. Bennamann’s system also provides new opportunities and revenue streams for farmers. These include fuel production at a stable cost; sale of excess biomethane on the open market; generation of 100% natural fertilizer; and conversion of excess methane into electricity for export or local use.

The new technology present in the T7 Methane Power LNG has been put through its paces on a variety of farms across myriad applications. This premiere is the first step towards the serial production and commercialization of the world’s first LNG tractor. A tractor that will make our customers more sustainable, energy independent and productive – true to our purpose of Breaking New Ground.

Digitalisation of Electricity and Water Services

Implementation of the Unified Smart Metering System Project, USMS makes it easier for electricity and water users to top up credit without physical card and manual key-in. The method can be done online via phone and retail shops in the future. The replacement of the meter is currently carried out by DST Network Sendirian Berhad.

The replacement and installation of smart meters is carried out by the company’s internal contractors who are qualified and pass certification according to installation standards from the Department of Electrical Services and Department of Water Services. Apart from that, DST Network also uses the services of external contractors that are certified and pass installation standards. The USMS platform is access to the digitisation of electricity and water services in one module.

The implementation of USMS provides a new experience to the users of both utilities with both being accessible online. In the next five years, DST Network Sendirian Berhad aims to replace meters to over 250 thousand units of houses, government and commercial buildings nationwide.
