Identify the Effects of COVID-19

The Minister of Health shared that a survey will be conducted to identify the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on nutrition as well as food intake and service delivery practices in the country.

The survey will be conducted through the BruHealth app starting 23rd June 2022, where participants will be randomly selected and invited to complete a questionnaire. The findings from the survey will assist the Ministry of Health in planning a response to reduce the impact during a pandemic on dietary intake in the future. The target group for the survey are mother or guardian of a child under 2 years old; mother or guardian of a child between 2 and 19 years old; Children aged 15 to 18; and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers or new mothers. The public who are invited to participate in the survey are welcome to cooperate by completing the questionnaire in full so that the programme that is planned can be implemented accordingly.

26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will be attending the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, CHOGM which is scheduled to be held on 24th and 25th June 2022 in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda.

CHOGM 2022, which carries the theme: "Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming" serves as a platform for setting agendas and decision making among Commonwealth member countries including Brunei Darussalam. During this Meeting, Commonwealth leaders are expected to select a candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the Commonwealth; as well as to discuss matters including governance and the rule of law; sustainable and inclusive development; post COVID-19 recovery; youth; technology and innovation and global challenges. The 26th CHOGM - which has been postponed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic - will be hosted by the Republic of Rwanda for the first time, having joined as the 54th and newest member of the Commonwealth since 2009. The last time Commonwealth leaders met for CHOGM was in April 2018 in London, United Kingdom.
