BRUNEI — The 124th Munajat Night, an event organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, emphasized the significance of prayer in preventing deviant and despicable acts during a tazkirah (talk) held as part of the proceedings.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the talk highlighted how prayer, as the pillar of religion, embodies the five principles reiterated five times daily. Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Advisor of the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque Kampong Manggis Madang Takmir Committee, participated in the event. The Munajat Night also saw participation from members of the Takmir Committee of the said mosque, along with congregants from Kampong Penanjong Mosque, Kampong Belais Mosque, and individuals from 67 mosques, surau (prayer halls), and religious halls nationwide, reinforcing the communal spirit and the role of prayer in fostering moral conduct among the faithful.
