Post: Youth Empowerment a Priority

Bandar Seri Begawan: The issue of empowering the involvement of youths in the economy, and maximising the use of sports complexes was explained by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in response to Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports emphasized that youth empowerment remains a priority through various initiatives. These include skills training, fostering self-identity and leadership, entrepreneurship incubators, and the provision of micro-grants. These efforts are designed to enhance the marketability of youths, enabling them to secure employment and start their own businesses.

Yang Berhormat further mentioned that several football fields and sports complexes have been identified for potential privatisation projects. These projects aim to facilitate more systematic sports activities, championships, and sports development programmes, thereby optimising the use of these facilities.
