Gadong: The 13th ASEAN Public Private People Partnership Forum highlighted the pivotal role youths play in fostering a sustainable future for the region. The event underscored the innovative and adaptable nature of young people, emphasizing their potential to tackle pressing issues like poverty, inequality, and environmental challenges. The forum, held in Gadong, brought together representatives from government, the private sector, and youth leaders to discuss these critical themes. According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community and Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, elaborated on the transformative potential of youths. She noted that young people have the capacity to lead significant changes in rural communities, enhancing their resilience to climate change and promoting sustainable livelihoods for future generations. The forum, themed 'Youths as Agents of Change Towards a Resilient ASEAN: Strengthening the Role of Youth s in Poverty Eradication and Rural Development,' served as a platform for discussing strategies to empower the youth in the ASEAN region.
