Bandar Seri Begawan: The International Counselling Symposium 2024 continued this morning with the First Plenary Session titled "Peranan Pemimpin Akar Umbi dalam Menangani Cabaran Kesihatan Mental" or "The Role of Grassroots Leaders in Addressing Mental Health Challenges". According to Radio Television Brunei, the session underscored the significant contributions of grassroots leaders in enhancing societal wellbeing from the ground up. A working paper titled "Kerahan Mobilisasi Akar Umbi" or "Grassroots Mobilisation Campaign" was presented, exploring the potential of grassroots mobilization as a powerful means to close the gap in mental health support. Additionally, the session highlighted the crucial role of leaders in both social and spiritual contexts through a working paper named "Pemimpin Prihatin Masyarakat Sejahtera" or "Leaders Concerned about a Prosperous Society". The discussion also emphasized the perspective of leadership within the Islamic context, further broadening the understanding of the le ader's role in fostering a healthy and prosperous community.
