JAKARTA: The 13th ASEAN Public-Private-People Partnership Forum on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication concluded with a focus on youth-led solutions to tackle poverty and promote sustainable development. The Permanent Secretary for Municipalities and Districts at the Ministry of Home Affairs emphasized the importance of involving youth in decision-making processes during the forum's closing ceremony. According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan highlighted the necessity for governments, businesses, and civil society to collaborate in providing young people with essential tools and resources. He stressed that active youth participation in rural development and poverty eradication efforts is crucial for achieving a resilient ASEAN and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The forum aimed to empower youth to address poverty challenges effectively.
