Tutong Municipal Department Launches Integrated Cleaning Campaign.
TUTONG: The Tutong Municipal Department has initiated an Integrated Cleaning Campaign aimed at enhancing public safety and mitigating the risks associated with natural disasters, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall. This campaign was launched at the Sugan Islamic Cemetery in Tutong District on the morning of November 30.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the cleaning campaign was a collaborative effort involving the Tutong District Office, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force, and several other government agencies within the district. The initiative also saw participation from the Mukim and Village Consultative Council and numerous volunteers, particularly focusing on tree cutting to ensure safe access routes.
The campaign’s primary objective is to safeguard the community by maintaining cleanliness and accessibility, which are crucial during adverse weather conditions. This proactive approach underscores the importance of community involvement and inter-agency cooperation in ad
dressing environmental and safety concerns in the region.
