Temburong District - 50 students from Year 9 to 11 at Sultan Hassan Secondary School in Temburong District have successfully completed the school-Based Disaster Risk Management (SBDRM) Programme. The three-day programme concluded on the afternoon of November 16th with a certificate presentation at the school.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang nor Hamidah binti Haji Hamidon, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Security and Welfare at the Ministry of Home Affairs, presented the certificates. The programme, organized by the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) in collaboration with the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, aims to equip students with the skills to make informed decisions during disasters. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance disaster preparedness among the youth in Brunei.
