Shear Line Causes Scattered Rains Across Mindanao, Northeast Monsoon Affects Other Regions
Mindanao – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Wednesday that Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.
According to Philippines News Agency, other areas including the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies and light rains due to the northeast monsoon. Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also influenced by the northeast monsoon.
The weather bureau has forecasted strong winds and rough coastal waters over the northern and eastern sections of the country, while the remainder of the archipelago will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas. Temperature ranges for key cities include 22°C to 31°C in Metro Manila, 13°C to 20°C in Baguio City, 21°C to 31°C in Laoag City, 24°C to 31°C in Legazpi City, 25°C to 30°C in Metro Cebu, 26°C to 31°C in Puerto Princesa City, and 23°C to 29°C in Metro Davao.
