Post: Surah Al-Fatihah Workshop Enhances Recitation Skills for Mosque Community

Bandar seri begawan: Surah Al-Fatihah is an important surah that must be read in every prayer. Therefore, the correct recitation in terms of tajweed, makhraj and fashahah needs to be learned and strengthened by all ages. In this regard, the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Imarah Division in collaboration with the Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque Takmir Committee, Kampung Jangsak and the Brunei Muara District Mosque Affairs Department, organised a Surah Al-Fatihah Workshop for Takmir Committee members, Muslimah and congregants. According to Radio Television Brunei, the workshop aimed to improve participants' understanding of the rules of tajwid in reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, in addition to strengthening the pronunciation of the makhraj and tajwid recitation in prayer. The programme also provided practical exposure through recitation competitions, thus strengthening the bonds between participants.
