Senator Urges WFH Options and Heat Breaks Amid El Niño Conditions

MANAOAG: Senator Christopher Lawrence Go called on Thursday for government agencies and private companies to adopt work-from-home policies and allow heat breaks for employees due to the ongoing El Niño weather phenomenon. As the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health, Go highlighted that such measures were effective during the pandemic and could be revisited to alleviate heat-related stress among workers.

According to Philippines News Agency, Go advocated for these changes as part of broader efforts to improve workplace conditions under extreme weather situations. During his visit, he also distributed essentials to local health workers and supported employment initiatives for disadvantaged workers through the Department of Labor and Employment.
